Kavitha Srinivasulu has taken up a new role as Vice President – Chief Cyber & AI Security Officer at Persistent Systems, where she will focus on cybersecurity, AI security, risk advisory, security engineering and digital transformation.
In her new position, Srinivasulu will work with customers, C-suite executives and leadership teams to help organisations address emerging technology risks while pursuing the opportunities created by artificial intelligence. Her mandate will cover areas including Risk Advisory, AI Security, Security Engineering and Digital Transformation, with an emphasis on security, resilience and trust as organisations adopt new technologies.
Srinivasulu announced the move as she began her new role at Persistent Systems. She also thanked the company’s leadership, colleagues, mentors and customers for their support and trust throughout her professional journey.
Her appointment brings extensive experience in cybersecurity, data privacy, risk advisory and business resilience to the role. Before joining Persistent Systems, Srinivasulu was associated with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), where she served as Global Head – Cyber Risk & Data Privacy for the BFSI Risk & Compliance division. Published professional profiles and industry coverage have described her as having around 20 years of experience across cybersecurity, data privacy and business resilience.
Her experience spans several industries, including banking and financial services, retail, manufacturing, healthcare, IT services and telecommunications. Her work has included risk advisory, business consulting and delivery assurance, with a focus on helping organisations address security, privacy and operational risks.
During her tenure at TCS, Srinivasulu also worked on cybersecurity and data privacy challenges associated with the increasing adoption of digital technologies. Her published work has covered areas such as artificial intelligence in cybersecurity and the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA), including approaches for organisations to assess technology risks, strengthen security controls and improve operational resilience.
In a 2023 profile, SC Media reported that Srinivasulu had more than 20 years of IT and security expertise and had held roles with organisations including Wipro, Bank of America, Verizon, AstraZeneca and TCS. The publication also noted her work at TCS in cyber risk and data privacy for the BFSI Risk and Compliance division.
Her new role at Persistent Systems comes as enterprises increasingly integrate AI into business processes and technology environments, creating a need to address security and risk considerations alongside AI adoption.
