
Hyderabad, Arunraja Karthick has joined Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories as Global Head of IT Infrastructure & Operations, strengthening the pharmaceutical company’s enterprise technology leadership. The development was disclosed through a Leadership Announcements post on LinkedIn.
In the new position, Karthick will lead Dr. Reddy’s global IT infrastructure and operations. His responsibilities will cover the development and management of secure, resilient and scalable technology platforms supporting the company’s global business and operational requirements.
The appointment marks Karthick’s return to Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories. Publicly available professional information shows that he previously served as Global Lead – IT Infrastructure and Cloud Operations at the pharmaceutical company between August 2019 and October 2021. During that tenure, his work covered global data-centre operations, cloud adoption, infrastructure consolidation, cybersecurity, disaster recovery and technology compliance within the life-sciences sector.
Before returning to Dr. Reddy’s, Karthick worked at DTDC Express Limited, where he held positions including Head of IT Infrastructure, Cloud Centre of Excellence and Security, followed by Head of IT Services and Security and Chief Information Security Officer. His responsibilities included IT operations, cloud strategy, cybersecurity governance, data governance and the management of corporate and regional technology teams.
Karthick has more than 16 years of experience across IT infrastructure, cloud computing, cybersecurity, service delivery and enterprise operations. Earlier in his career, he worked with DXC Technology, where he managed data-centre and cloud services supporting Dr. Reddy’s operations across India and international markets. His professional background also includes Polaris Consulting & Services and technology engagements associated with the Royal Bank of Scotland.
From a technology perspective, the appointment places global infrastructure, cloud operations and operational resilience under a leader who already has experience with Dr. Reddy’s technology environment. The company’s stated digital priorities include becoming a platform-based organisation, treating data as a business asset and developing digital solutions for patients and customers. Its pharmaceutical IT operations also require infrastructure reliability, cybersecurity, business continuity and compliance with industry frameworks such as GxP.
