Castrol India appoints Rohit Talwar as Vice President & Head of Marketing

Castrol, the leading lubricant manufacturer in India, has announced its new Vice President and Head of Marketing, Mr. Rohit Talwar, who will officially assume his position on November 1, 2023. Mr. Talwar will take over from Ms. Jaya Jamrani, who has opted for a one-year sabbatical.

In his newly appointed position, Mr. Talwar will assume the responsibility of overseeing Castrol’s comprehensive marketing strategies, with a clear focus on fostering growth and delivering value to both customers and shareholders. The company has also announced that he will become a part of the Castrol India Leadership Team.

Talwar brings a rich reservoir of experience to his new role, boasting a 21-year track record of proficiently leading high-performing multicultural teams at various levels and in diverse assignments, both locally and globally, within the Castrol group.

His journey with Castrol India began in June 2004 when he joined as a Management Trainee. Throughout the years, he has left an indelible mark on the brand’s growth through a range of roles, including Sales Manager, Bikes Brand Manager, and Cricket Sponsorship Activation Manager. As the Global Brand Manager in the Commercial Vehicles Category, he played a significant role in the development and successful launch of the internationally acclaimed Castrol VECTON brand.

In 2017, Mr. Talwar returned to Castrol India Limited, where he held influential positions such as Head of Brand and Communication and Deputy Vice President of Marketing for India. Since 2019, Mr. Talwar has been leading marketing for Castrol Vietnam. In this capacity, he has overseen both B2C and B2B marketing initiatives, spearheading innovation and delivering substantial business growth in the Vietnamese market.
