Deloitte Appoints Guruprasad Ramamoorthy as Chief Technology Officer

New Delhi, Deloitte has appointed Guruprasad Ramamoorthy as Chief Technology Officer. Ramamoorthy confirmed the appointment through a professional update, marking his transition from S&P Global after an extensive tenure in technology and infrastructure leadership.

In his new position, Ramamoorthy is expected to contribute to Deloitte’s technology strategy and support the adoption of modern cloud, infrastructure, networking and digital transformation capabilities. Deloitte has not yet publicly specified whether the position covers a particular country, member firm or global business unit.

“I’m pleased to share that I have joined Deloitte as Chief Technology Officer,” Ramamoorthy said while announcing the move.

Before joining Deloitte, Ramamoorthy served as Senior Vice President and Global Head of Cloud and Infrastructure at S&P Global. In that role, he led a global organisation of more than 1,000 professionals responsible for cloud, network, security and AI-enabled infrastructure operations.

During his tenure at S&P Global, he held multiple leadership positions, including Vice President and Global Head of Cloud and Infrastructure; Global Head of Infrastructure and Network Services; and Global Head of Network Architecture, Engineering and Operations. He was also the technology site leader for the company’s Global Talent Center in India.

His responsibilities included supporting a global technology environment spanning more than 80 offices, over 20 data centres and multiple cloud platforms. He also worked on initiatives involving software-defined infrastructure, network modernisation, cybersecurity and enterprise cloud transformation.

Ramamoorthy additionally served on the advisory board of cloud networking company Alkira. His previous professional experience includes infrastructure and operations leadership assignments at Visa, BNY, Sify Technologies, HCLTech and Saksoft. He began his career as an infrastructure assistant at A.K. College of Engineering.

He holds an MBA from Madurai Kamaraj University and a technology degree from Anna University.

Deloitte provides audit and assurance, consulting, financial advisory, risk advisory, tax and related services through its network of member firms. The organisation works with enterprises on cloud adoption, cybersecurity, data, artificial intelligence and large-scale business transformation programmes.
