Diageo has appointed Divan Raimagia as Vice President – Global Head of Cyber Resilience. Raimagia announced the move in a professional update, marking a new step in his career in cybersecurity and technology risk leadership.
Raimagia brings around 18 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on operational technology (OT), industrial control systems (ICS), information security and cyber risk. His professional background includes leadership responsibilities involving the security of technology environments and critical operational systems.
Before joining Diageo, Raimagia was associated with Adani Green Energy, where his professional profile identifies him as an OT and ICS cybersecurity leader. His experience in this area has included working on cybersecurity requirements for environments where information technology and operational technology intersect.
Raimagia has also worked with Wipro Technologies earlier in his career. His professional experience has included network security, data-centre environments and cybersecurity architecture, giving him exposure to both enterprise IT and operational technology security.
His background covers several areas of cybersecurity, including security architecture, network security, OT security, industrial control systems and cyber resilience. He has also worked with teams and stakeholders on security programmes involving complex technology environments.
At Diageo, Raimagia will take on the global role of Vice President – Global Head of Cyber Resilience. The position places his cybersecurity experience within a global business that operates manufacturing, supply chain, technology and corporate systems across multiple markets.
Diageo identifies cybersecurity and IT resilience as important areas within its broader risk-management framework. The company has stated that sophisticated cyber and IT threats, including risks involving third parties and unauthorised access, could affect information, operational systems and business continuity.
The company’s Digital and Technology organisation also includes a dedicated cyber security function. Diageo says its Information Management & Security team works to protect the organisation against evolving cyber threats while supporting innovation and business operations.
Diageo’s latest corporate reporting also highlights its focus on cyber resilience and operational security. The company has been strengthening its cyber incident-response processes, conducting cyber crisis exercises and working with independent cybersecurity experts to assess and test the resilience of its systems.
The company has also been progressing work related to NIS2, focusing on governance, cyber resilience and operational security across factories and business-critical operations.
Raimagia’s appointment therefore comes into a role connected with a broader technology and risk-management framework covering Diageo’s global operations. His experience in OT and ICS security is particularly relevant to environments where cyber risks can affect operational and production systems as well as traditional IT infrastructure.
Raimagia holds an engineering degree from Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya and has professional certifications including ISO 27001 Lead Auditor and Certified Chief Information Security Officer.
The move adds Raimagia to Diageo’s cybersecurity leadership as the company continues to strengthen its approach to cyber security, resilience and operational technology risk across its global business.
