Independent creative company Hello has appointed David Griffiths as Managing Director, strengthening its executive leadership team following the launch of its creative agency and integrated offering 18 months ago.
The appointment follows the recent addition of former WPP executive Caroline Berdayes as Chief Financial and Operating Officer. The leadership expansion comes after Hello recorded double-digit revenue and profit growth during FY26.
Griffiths brings more than 20 years of experience in brand leadership, agency management, marketing and commercial growth across the Asia-Pacific region. In his new role, he will lead Hello’s creative agency and integrated offering, working alongside Ben Stavert, Director of Social and Talent.
He will oversee the continued integration of the company’s strategy, creative, social, influencer marketing, events, production, public relations, media and measurement capabilities. His responsibilities will also include strengthening strategic client relationships, expanding Hello’s integrated proposition and ensuring that client, brand and customer priorities remain central to the agency’s engagements.
Griffiths began his career at global agency iris, where he served as Managing Partner and contributed to the expansion of its creative, sport, content and integrated marketing capabilities. He subsequently moved into client-side leadership, holding senior director and marketing positions at Uber, Stan and Samsung. Across these organisations, he led brand, customer and commercial marketing programmes.
Commenting on the appointment, Sam Kelly, CEO of Hello, said, “David is one of those rare leaders who has built brands from the inside and outside. He’s sat in the boardroom making marketing investment decisions, and he’s led agency teams responsible for delivering the work. That perspective is incredibly valuable in today’s market, where clients expect partners to understand both commercial realities and creative ambition.”
Griffiths said, “What attracted me to Hello was its ambition and its willingness to challenge the traditional agency model. The business has built an incredible reputation across social, content, earned and influencer marketing, and now has the opportunity to become one of Australia’s leading integrated creative agencies.”
Hello is an independent Australian creative company with a team of approximately 70 people. It provides integrated capabilities across creative strategy, social media, content, influencer marketing, public relations, events, production, media and measurement. During FY25–26, the agency added brands including Fujifilm Australia, CommBank, Amazon, Dry July, 4 Pines and Wingstop International to its client portfolio.
