Kissht Parent OnEMI to Consider Fresh Fundraise After ₹850 Crore IPO

OnEMI Technology Solutions, the parent company of digital lending platform Kissht, is considering raising fresh capital through an equity-linked fundraise, around four months after raising ₹850 crore in primary capital through its initial public offering (IPO). The company’s Board is scheduled to meet on September 17, 2026, to consider various fundraising options.

The proposed fundraise could involve the issuance of equity shares, warrants, convertible instruments or other eligible securities. The company may explore routes including a preferential issue or private placement, among other options. The final structure and size of the potential fundraise have not been disclosed.

The proposed capital raise comes shortly after OnEMI’s public-market debut. The company had raised ₹850 crore in primary capital through its IPO, which was launched earlier in 2026. The fresh issue provided capital to support the company’s growth plans as it expanded its digital lending business under the Kissht brand.

The company’s latest move reflects its continued focus on expanding its lending business and strengthening its financial-services platform. Kissht has been growing its lending operations, with the platform having served more than 12 million customers, according to recent Economic Times coverage. The company is also looking beyond traditional consumer lending as it works toward becoming a broader financial-services business.

Kissht has been expanding its product offering across secured and unsecured lending. Its growth strategy has increasingly focused on widening access to credit while using technology and data-driven processes to improve customer acquisition and lending decisions.

The potential fundraise also comes against the backdrop of strong growth in OnEMI’s lending operations. Recent reports indicate that the company has continued to increase its assets under management and loan disbursements, while broadening its secured-loan offerings. This expansion has increased the company’s capital requirements as it looks to support the next phase of its lending business.

Beyond lending, Kissht has indicated plans to develop into a broader financial-services company. At the Global Fintech Fest, the company said its next phase of growth would involve using artificial intelligence to strengthen decision-making, understand customers more effectively and widen its customer base. The shift represents an effort to move beyond its traditional digital-lending model and build a broader financial-services platform.

For OnEMI, the September 17 Board meeting will therefore be an important step in determining whether and how the company proceeds with another capital raise. While the company has not announced the amount it intends to raise, the proposed issue could provide additional resources for its lending operations and broader financial-services ambitions.

The potential fundraise also highlights the capital-intensive nature of digital lending, where additional equity can support balance-sheet growth and expansion of the loan book. For OnEMI, the decision comes after its recent transition to the public markets and as Kissht continues to scale its customer base and lending activities.

At this stage, the fresh funding remains under consideration and has not been finalised. The Board will evaluate the proposed fundraising routes at its September 17 meeting, after which the company could provide further details on the size, structure and terms of any potential capital raise.

With Kissht continuing to expand its lending operations and OnEMI exploring ways to strengthen its capital base, the proposed fundraise could mark another significant step in the company’s post-IPO growth strategy. The outcome of the Board meeting will determine whether the company proceeds with the proposed equity or equity-linked capital raise.
