Bengaluru-based deep-tech startup Maieutic Semiconductors has raised $4.15 million in seed funding to transform the way semiconductors are designed using generative AI. The round was co-led by Endiya Partners and Exfinity Venture Partners, both known for their strategic bets in the semiconductor and AI ecosystem.
Founded in March 2025 by Gireesh Rajendran, Ashish Lachhwani, Rakesh Kumar, and Krishna Sankar M, Maieutic is developing a GenAI-first platform that promises to drastically shorten chip design cycles, minimize reliance on domain experts, and enable faster, smarter trade-offs in analog IC (integrated circuit) design.
The startup is zeroing in on analog ICs—a critical component of the trillion-dollar global semiconductor market, essential to industries like automotive, communications, and industrial systems. By integrating AI into traditionally time-intensive design processes, Maieutic aims to shift the paradigm of hardware engineering.
“We’re building a platform that can cut weeks of design work down to days,” the founders noted, adding that their technology will also empower less-experienced engineers to contribute more effectively.
Gireesh Rajendran, one of the co-founders, previously launched Steradian Semiconductors, which was acquired by Renesas Electronics, highlighting the team’s deep domain expertise and strong track record in semiconductor innovation.
The funding will be used to grow Maieutic’s engineering team and speed up product development, helping it hit the market faster. With backing from investors that have supported companies like Steradian and Kinara.ai, Maieutic is well-positioned to become a leading force at the convergence of semiconductors and generative AI.
