
Manulife has promoted Andy Bruce to Chief Information Officer (CIO) of Manulife Asia, strengthening its regional technology leadership as the company works to modernise its digital capabilities and improve experiences for customers and employees.
The company announced the appointment on October 8, 2026, confirming that Bruce’s promotion became effective on October 1, 2026. He previously served as Chief Information Officer for Manulife Hong Kong and Macau.
In his new role, Bruce will lead technology initiatives across Manulife Asia, supporting the company’s efforts to deliver simpler, more connected experiences and strengthen its digital capabilities across the region.
Since joining Manulife as CIO for Hong Kong and Macau, Bruce has led one of the market’s largest technology delivery portfolios. Under his leadership, the team has strengthened operational stability and risk management while advancing technology modernisation and artificial intelligence initiatives.
He has also developed partnerships across the business and the regional technology organisation, helping align technology delivery with business priorities. Manulife said Bruce is recognised for his strategic leadership, collaborative approach and ability to build high-performing teams while delivering business outcomes.
Steve Finch, President and Chief Executive Officer of Manulife Asia, said Bruce has demonstrated a strong record in execution, innovation and talent development. Finch also highlighted his understanding of the business and his ability to translate strategy into practical outcomes.
According to Finch, Bruce’s leadership will support Manulife’s efforts to strengthen its digital capabilities, scale artificial intelligence responsibly across operations and improve experiences for customers and colleagues throughout Asia.
