Bengaluru-based quantum cybersecurity company QNu Labs has raised ₹200 crore in a Series A1 funding round led by the National Quantum Mission (NQM), as the company looks to scale its quantum-safe cybersecurity technologies and expand their deployment across critical sectors.
The latest funding forms part of a larger ₹350 crore capital raise secured by QNu Labs. The company plans to use the capital to strengthen its quantum security business, accelerate technology development and expand the deployment of its solutions in India and international markets.
QNu Labs is focused on developing technologies designed to protect digital infrastructure against threats posed by advances in quantum computing. Its product portfolio includes Quantum Key Distribution (QKD), Quantum Random Number Generation (QRNG), Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) and quantum-safe key management capabilities. The company’s platform brings these technologies together to address the growing need for quantum-resistant security.
The company’s solutions are aimed at sectors where the protection of sensitive information and communications is critical, including banking and financial services, telecommunications, government and defence, healthcare and automotive. QNu Labs says its technologies are already being deployed across these sectors, including government and defence applications.
The latest capital infusion comes as organisations and governments increasingly prepare for the security risks associated with quantum computing. Existing encryption standards could become vulnerable as quantum computers become more capable, creating a need for technologies that can secure data against future quantum-based attacks.
QNu Labs has been building its quantum security technology since 2016 and has developed products including Armos, its quantum key distribution technology, and Tropos, a quantum random number generator. The company has subsequently expanded its portfolio to include post-quantum cryptography and other quantum-safe security technologies.
The company had previously raised approximately $7 million in a Series A round in April 2025, led by the National Quantum Mission, taking its total funding at that point to around $20 million.
The new Series A1 funding gives QNu Labs additional capital to scale its quantum cybersecurity business at a time when demand for quantum-safe infrastructure is increasing. The company will focus on expanding its technology development, strengthening deployments and supporting organisations preparing for the transition towards quantum-resistant security.
With the latest funding, QNu Labs is positioned to expand its role in India’s emerging quantum-security ecosystem, while continuing to develop technologies aimed at protecting critical digital infrastructure from current and future cybersecurity threats.
