In her expanded role, Smita will lead Caldic’s India growth strategy while continuing to strengthen the company’s regional marketing, commercial transformation, and digital capabilities across the APAC region. Before stepping into this role, Smita held several key leadership positions within Caldic APAC, where she successfully led businesses across digital commerce, food & nutrition, life sciences, and industrial solutions. Throughout her tenure, she played a critical role in expanding market presence, strengthening customer engagement strategies, and accelerating digital transformation initiatives across multiple business verticals.
She has also been actively involved in driving commercial innovation, developing customer-centric business models, and building stronger regional capabilities to support long-term organizational growth. Her experience spans strategic business development, product positioning, supplier partnerships, market expansion, and commercial operations across diverse industry segments.
Prior to joining Caldic, Smita worked with UniColloids Impex, where she developed strong expertise in business development, supplier management, product strategy, and customer-focused market expansion. Her early experience in the ingredients and specialty solutions industry helped build a solid foundation for her leadership journey in the broader food and life sciences ecosystem.
