Hyderabad: Consumer financial services company Synchrony has inaugurated its largest Global Experience Centre and a reimagined Innovation Station at its Hyderabad campus, strengthening India’s role in the company’s global technology, innovation and enterprise strategy.
Spread across nearly 6,000 square feet, the new facility is Synchrony’s third Experience Centre globally, following two centres in the United States. It has been designed as an immersive space where employees, customers and business partners can explore the company’s products, technologies and capabilities through interactive customer journeys, virtual reality demonstrations and practical business use cases.
The Experience Centre will showcase use cases across Synchrony’s health and wellness, home and auto, lifestyle, digital, and diversified and value business platforms. The facility is intended to help employees better understand customer requirements and demonstrate how the company’s technology and financial products are used across different stages of the customer journey.
The adjoining Innovation Station will provide teams with a collaborative environment to experiment with emerging technologies, develop prototypes and test new ideas. It will also support innovation challenges, hackathons and cross-functional programmes aimed at converting concepts into scalable business solutions.
“The Experience Center and reimagined Innovation Station create an environment where our teams can collaborate across disciplines, explore emerging technologies and transform ideas into meaningful business outcomes,” said Florin Arghirescu, Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at Synchrony.
Arghirescu said the investment reflects the company’s confidence in India’s talent base and the contribution of its India teams across technology, artificial intelligence and enterprise platforms.
Rachana Bahadur, Senior Vice President and Country Head – India at Synchrony, said the facility has been created to help colleagues better understand the customers served by the company and connect their daily work with its broader business impact.
“It is a space designed for our colleagues to better understand the customers we serve, see the impact of the work they do every day, and come together to learn, connect, collaborate and innovate,” Bahadur said.
The combined facilities are designed to support more than 6,000 Synchrony colleagues and encourage continuous learning and collaboration across technology, analytics, operations and business platform teams.
Synchrony provides consumer financing, credit, banking and payment products. Its digital financial ecosystem connects customers with merchants, healthcare providers and business partners across sectors including health and wellness, home and automotive, lifestyle and digital commerce.
