Wipro has appointed Omkar Nisal as the Chief Executive Officer of its Europe Strategic Market Unit (SMU). In this pivotal role, Omkar will drive growth and strengthen Wipro’s market position across Europe, reporting directly to Srini Pallia, Wipro’s CEO and Managing Director. He will also serve on Wipro’s Executive Board. Omkar succeeds Pierre Bruno, who steps down after significantly advancing Wipro’s European initiatives.
With over a decade at Wipro, Omkar has been instrumental in leading digital transformation initiatives, particularly in the banking sector across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. As Senior Vice President and Managing Director for the UK and Ireland, he managed a substantial portfolio, showcasing his ability to deliver results in complex markets. Based in London, Omkar’s deep expertise and strategic vision position him to guide Wipro’s European operations toward continued success.
Pierre Bruno, who joined Wipro in 2021, played a key role in enhancing consulting, cloud, and cybersecurity services in Europe. He will collaborate with Omkar during the transition to ensure a seamless leadership handover.
