Experian India has announced the appointment of Nidhi Poddar as its new Head of Analytics, adding a seasoned analytics and risk strategy professional to its leadership team.
Nidhi brings over 15 years of experience in analytics, risk strategy, and business intelligence, with a strong track record of driving data-led decision-making across the financial services sector. Her expertise spans the development of advanced analytical frameworks, risk assessment models, and business intelligence solutions designed to enhance operational efficiency and support strategic growth.
Before joining Experian India, Nidhi served led the Risk Strategy and Analytics function at Jio Financial Services, playing a key role in shaping the company’s credit and risk management approach. Prior to that, she was Head of Analytics at SMFG Grihashakti, where she was responsible for leading analytical initiatives to optimize lending processes and improve portfolio performance.
Her earlier career includes nearly a decade at Axis Bank, where she rose to the position of Assistant Vice President. During her tenure, she contributed to the bank’s analytics capabilities, focusing on risk management, portfolio monitoring, and predictive modelling to support business decisions.
Nidhi’s appointment comes at a time when analytics continues to play an increasingly critical role in the financial services industry, enabling organizations to leverage data for customer insights, risk mitigation, and operational excellence. At Experian India, she is expected to lead initiatives that strengthen the company’s analytical capabilities and further enhance its value proposition for clients across sectors.
Her academic background, coupled with extensive hands-on experience in high-growth financial institutions, positions her to contribute significantly to Experian’s strategic goals in India’s evolving data and analytics landscape.
