WPP Media has appointed Veena Joji as Chief People Officer, South Asia, marking a significant leadership addition to its regional operations. With more than 25 years of extensive experience in human resources, Joji brings a proven track record of driving organizational transformation, leading mergers and acquisitions, and fostering inclusive workplaces. In her new mandate, she will spearhead people strategy, cultural strengthening, and organizational growth across South Asia.
Throughout her career, Joji has held several senior leadership positions across global organizations. Most recently, she served as CHRO at Apexon, where she led people strategy and cultural transformation initiatives, building future-ready HR capabilities. At CPA Global, she was responsible for the India people function, playing a key role in shaping workforce development and organizational priorities.
Her tenure at Epsilon saw her take on critical leadership roles as Senior Director HR and Director HR, where she guided employees through large-scale transformation and M&A integration. These experiences reinforced her ability to align people practices with business outcomes during periods of rapid organizational change.
Earlier, Joji worked with Thomson Reuters as Senior Manager, overseeing HR programs and transformation. At IBM Global Process Services, she played a pivotal role in driving HR transformation across geographies including India, China, the Philippines, Latin America, Europe, and the Middle East & Africa. She began her professional journey at Dell Technologies in quality and training before transitioning into HR leadership, which set the foundation for her people-centric career path.
Known for her expertise in building inclusive cultures and managing workforce strategies at scale, Joji’s appointment reflects WPP Media’s commitment to strengthening its people-first agenda. At WPP Media, her focus will be on scaling talent, enhancing organizational culture, and aligning HR strategy with the company’s long-term growth vision in the South Asia region.
