SanchiConnect has announced a strategic partnership with the Tamil Nadu government and the Tamil Nadu Technology Hub (iTNT) to strengthen the state’s deeptech startup ecosystem, with a particular emphasis on nurturing innovation from tier-2 and tier-3 cities. The alliance is aimed at creating structured, long-term support systems that enable deeptech entrepreneurs outside major metropolitan hubs to build, validate, and scale globally competitive ventures.
The collaboration is designed to bridge critical gaps that founders in emerging cities often face, including limited access to capital, enterprise customers, and experienced mentorship. Through the partnership, startups will be able to tap into SanchiConnect’s network of investors, corporates, and domain experts, while benefiting from institutional backing and policy support from the Tamil Nadu government and iTNT. The combined effort seeks to move startups beyond early-stage experimentation and into commercial readiness and enterprise adoption.
Founders participating in the initiative will receive tailored mentorship aligned to their technology domains, along with guidance on product validation, go-to-market strategy, and scaling operations. The program will also facilitate industry connections and market access, helping startups transition from prototype development to real-world deployments. In addition, the partnership aims to open pathways for startups to access national and international markets, positioning Tamil Nadu as a strong contributor to India’s deeptech growth story.
Commenting on the partnership, Sunil k Shekhawat (Dr), co-founder and CEO of SanchiConnect, said, “Tamil Nadu has consistently demonstrated a strong vision for nurturing innovation. This partnership with the state government and iTNT allows us to take structured deeptech enablement into tier-2 and tier-3 cities, where entrepreneurial talent is abundant but access to markets, capital, and mentorship is often limited.”
He added, “By combining SanchiConnect’s ecosystem of investors, corporates, and domain experts with the state’s institutional support, we aim to create a sustainable pipeline of globally competitive deeptech startups. Our focus is not just acceleration, but long-term capacity building that enables founders to scale responsibly, and contribute meaningfully to India’s deeptech leadership.”
The initiative aligns with Tamil Nadu’s broader efforts to decentralize innovation and promote inclusive economic growth. By focusing on long-term capability building rather than short-term acceleration, the partnership seeks to create a resilient deeptech ecosystem that empowers founders across the state, unlocks regional talent, and strengthens India’s position in advanced technology innovation.
