Jindal Steel Appoints Afrin Noor as Vice President – Talent & Strategy

India — Jindal Steel Ltd. has appointed Afrin Noor as Vice President – Talent & Strategy, strengthening the company’s leadership team as it continues to focus on workforce transformation, organizational development, and long-term business growth.

In her new role, Afrin Noor will lead talent strategy, workforce planning, organizational effectiveness, and people-focused initiatives aimed at supporting Jindal Steel’s expanding operations and transformation agenda across its business ecosystem.

Afrin brings more than 23 years of experience in human resources, industrial relations, organizational transformation, and strategic workforce management across large-scale manufacturing and multinational environments. Prior to joining Jindal Steel, she spent 16 years at Honeywell, where she held multiple HR leadership roles across India, ASEAN, East Asia, and the broader Asia-Pacific region.

During her tenure at Honeywell, she served as HR Director for Honeywell Building Automation India, ASEAN and East Asia, overseeing HR strategy for a multi-country business operation with thousands of employees across the APAC region. She also held leadership positions across talent management, organization design, employee engagement, workforce planning, leadership development, and business transformation initiatives.

Earlier in her career, Afrin worked at Tata Steel, where she managed several HR and industrial relations responsibilities involving workforce planning, employee relations, recruitment, training, performance management, and industrial harmony across manufacturing operations. Her experience also includes handling union negotiations, organizational restructuring, and large-scale workforce transformation initiatives.

Industry experts note that manufacturing and industrial companies are increasingly prioritizing strategic HR leadership as organizations focus on operational scalability, productivity improvement, workforce modernization, and leadership development in a rapidly evolving business environment.
