
Pune, Fiat India Automobiles Private Limited has appointed Amit Shukla as its Chief Information Officer. He joins the automotive manufacturer after spending approximately three years with Crystal Crop Protection Limited.
In his new role, Shukla will lead the company’s information-technology and digital-transformation agenda. His responsibilities will include working with business teams to use technology, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, data and digital innovation to improve operational performance and support sustainable business growth.
Announcing his appointment, Shukla said, “I am pleased to share that I have joined FIAT India Auto Pvt. Ltd., Pune as CIO.”

Shukla thanked Fiat India Automobiles Chief Executive Officer and President Rajesh Khatri and Jayadeep Desai for their confidence in him. He also acknowledged Crystal Crop Protection and its Chairman and Managing Director, Ankur Aggarwal, for their support during his tenure with the company.
Shukla is an experienced information-technology leader with expertise spanning enterprise technology, digital transformation, cybersecurity and business-process modernisation. He has also been recognised among India’s leading CIOs and IT executives at industry forums.
His appointment comes as automotive manufacturers expand their use of artificial intelligence, analytics, connected manufacturing and cybersecurity technologies across production and enterprise operations.
Fiat India Automobiles Private Limited is a 50:50 automotive-manufacturing joint venture between Stellantis and Tata Motors. The company operates a manufacturing facility at Ranjangaon near Pune and produces vehicles, engines and automotive components for brands associated with its partner companies.
