Gurugram, Saatvik Solar has appointed Arindam Chakraborty as its Chief Human Resources Officer. He joins the solar photovoltaic manufacturer after serving as Senior Vice President and Head of Global Human Resources at Vikram Solar.
In his new role, Chakraborty will lead Saatvik Solar’s people strategy, talent development and organisational-transformation initiatives. His appointment comes as the company expands its domestic manufacturing operations and broadens its presence across India’s renewable-energy value chain.
Chakraborty brings extensive experience in human-resources leadership, workforce planning and organisational development. During his tenure at Vikram Solar, he led global HR initiatives spanning organisation design, succession management, employee stock option plan implementation, capability building and HR transformation.
He joined Vikram Solar in January 2024 and remained with the company until March 2026. His responsibilities included aligning the organisation’s workforce plans and talent strategy with its business growth and manufacturing-expansion requirements.
Chakraborty has also held senior leadership positions at Ashok Leyland and Royal Enfield. At Ashok Leyland, he served as President – Human Resources and Head of Organisational Development and Learning. His wider experience covers people strategy, leadership development, learning, talent transformation and employee capability building.
His appointment strengthens Saatvik Solar’s leadership team as the company increases its manufacturing scale and develops a more integrated renewable-energy portfolio. As CHRO, Chakraborty is expected to support workforce readiness, leadership development and organisational capabilities required for the company’s next phase of expansion.
Saatvik Solar operates a solar-module manufacturing facility in Ambala, Haryana, with an annual capacity of 4.8 GW. The company produces Mono PERC, bifacial and N-Type TOPCon solar photovoltaic modules for residential, commercial, industrial and utility-scale projects.
The company also operates a 2 GW in-house EPE encapsulant-film manufacturing facility at its Ambala campus. It is developing a backward-integrated manufacturing facility in Odisha that will add 4 GW of module capacity. Saatvik’s wider portfolio includes solar inverters, pumps, kits, transformers, engineering and construction services, and battery-energy-storage solutions.
