Gaurav Jain has been appointed Chief Financial Officer at Porter, joining the logistics and transportation platform after more than 11 years at Amazon. His appointment comes as Porter continues to scale its operations and strengthen its financial leadership.
Porter CEO and Co-founder Uttam Digga confirmed Jain’s appointment in an internal communication dated September 7, 2026. Digga said Jain brings more than 20 years of experience across e-commerce, financial services and FMCG, including more than a decade at Amazon.
Jain most recently served as Director and Head of Finance for India Operations and Supply Chain at Amazon, a position he held from January 2025. In this role, he was responsible for finance leadership across Amazon’s India operations and supply-chain activities.
Before that, Jain served as Director Finance for Amazon’s India Consumer business from October 2022 to January 2025. He joined Amazon in 2015 and progressed through senior finance positions, including Senior Finance Manager and Finance Manager. His more than 11-year tenure at the company gave him extensive exposure to e-commerce finance, operations and business performance.
Prior to joining Amazon, Jain held finance and strategy roles across the FMCG and financial-services sectors. He worked as Business Planner and Controller at Shalimar Paints from 2013 to 2015 and as Vice President of Group Strategy at Religare from 2010 to 2013. Earlier, he began his career as an Analyst at Ambit Capital in 2010.
Jain also spent close to three years with Unilever, where he worked as a Business Leadership Trainee before moving into the role of Manager, Investor Relations, India. His career has therefore covered finance, strategy, investor relations, consumer businesses, financial services and e-commerce.
A Chartered Accountant and member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, Jain brings a combination of financial management and strategic experience to his new role. His background across large consumer-facing businesses and technology-led operations is expected to support Porter as it continues to expand its logistics platform.
As CFO, Jain will take charge of Porter’s finance function, bringing experience in financial planning, business strategy and operational finance from his previous leadership roles. His move from Amazon to Porter adds a senior finance executive with extensive experience across e-commerce and consumer businesses to the company’s leadership team.

The appointment marks a new phase in Jain’s career as he moves from Amazon’s large-scale e-commerce and supply-chain environment to a leadership role at Porter, where he will contribute to the company’s financial management and continued business expansion.
