Ravi Chopra has joined Aditya Infotech Ltd., the company behind the CP Plus brand, as Group Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) and President. The appointment brings an experienced HR leader to the company’s leadership team, with more than 27 years of experience across people strategy, organisational transformation, business partnering, leadership development, employee relations and industrial relations.
In his new role, Chopra will be responsible for strengthening the company’s people strategy and supporting organisational growth. His mandate includes aligning workforce priorities with business objectives, developing leadership capabilities and supporting organisational transformation as Aditya Infotech continues to expand its technology and security solutions business.
Before joining Aditya Infotech, Chopra served as Group CHRO at Merino Group, where he worked from April 2023 to August 2026. During his more than three-year tenure, he led the group’s HR agenda, with responsibilities spanning HR strategy, organisational change and leadership priorities.
Prior to Merino Group, Chopra was Group CHRO at Hero Motors Company, where he served from June 2021 to October 2022. He led the HR function across businesses covering bicycles, e-bikes and automotive components, gaining experience in managing people strategies across diverse manufacturing operations.
Earlier, Chopra spent nearly five years at Orient Electric as Vice President & Head – HR, from July 2016 to May 2021. During this period, he led HR across the organisation and worked on cultural transformation and people-development initiatives. His responsibilities covered businesses spanning fans, lighting, home appliances and switchgears, along with multiple manufacturing facilities and sales offices across India.
A significant part of Chopra’s career was built at Samsung Electronics, where he spent nearly 12 years between 2004 and 2016 and rose to the position of Director – HR. His responsibilities at Samsung included corporate HR, regional HR, HR business partnering and HR operations.
Chopra began his career with Hero MotoCorp as a Senior Officer – HR, where he worked across plant HR and industrial relations. He subsequently held an HR role with Gillette India’s Duracell division before joining Jindal Stainless as Assistant Manager – HR. These early roles provided him with experience in plant HR, industrial relations, learning and development and broader HR operations.
Across his career, Chopra has developed experience in HR strategy, organisational development, talent management, leadership development, employee engagement, cultural transformation, change management and business partnering. His career progression from plant-level HR and industrial relations to enterprise-wide CHRO roles has given him exposure to both operational and strategic aspects of people management.
At Aditya Infotech, Chopra will bring this experience to a leadership role covering people strategy and organisational growth. His appointment comes as the company behind CP Plus continues to build its technology-driven security solutions business, making workforce capability, leadership development and organisational alignment important elements of its growth agenda.
The move marks another step in Chopra’s career as he transitions from his recent Group CHRO role at Merino Group to a broader leadership position as Group CHRO and President at Aditya Infotech Ltd.
