Sandoz has appointed Priyaranjan Jha as Global Head of Global Capability Centres (GCCs) and Country President, Sandoz India, giving him a dual leadership mandate covering the company’s global GCC network and its India operations. Jha is based in Hyderabad and will report to Remco Steenbergen, Chief Financial Officer at Sandoz.
In his new role, Jha will oversee Sandoz’s GCC operations across Hyderabad, Prague, Mexico City and Madrid. His mandate includes growing and evolving these centres as an integral part of the company’s global operating model.
Jha announced his move on LinkedIn, sharing that he had joined Sandoz as Global Head of GCCs and Country President, Sandoz India. He also highlighted the company’s focus on expanding access to affordable medicines and the role of its GCCs across its international locations.
The new assignment brings together responsibility for Sandoz’s global capability operations and its India business. In the GCC role, Jha will be responsible for the continued development of the centres across four locations, while as Country President he will lead Sandoz’s India operations.
Jha joins Sandoz from Iron Mountain, where he served as Senior Vice President and Head of Global Business Services. At Iron Mountain, he was responsible for global business services strategy, transformation and execution across a multi-site network.
Before Iron Mountain, Jha held leadership responsibilities at PepsiCo. His experience there included building the company’s India Capability Center in Hyderabad and later serving as COO – Global Business Services. His career also includes more than 14 years at Genpact, where he held senior roles across global operations, transformation, business development, client leadership and robotic process automation.
His professional background has therefore included global business services, capability-centre development, transformation and operations leadership. These areas form a significant part of his mandate as he takes responsibility for Sandoz’s GCC network.
The GCCs under Jha’s responsibility are located in Hyderabad, Prague, Mexico City and Madrid. His mandate is to further grow and evolve the centres and integrate their capabilities into Sandoz’s wider global operations.
Jha’s appointment comes as Sandoz continues to operate as a global generics and biosimilars company, with its India operations forming part of its wider international business. The company’s GCC network provides capabilities across multiple global locations.
In his LinkedIn announcement, Jha also noted his personal connection with Sandoz, recalling his childhood familiarity with Calcium Sandoz and expressing his appreciation for joining the company. He said he was grateful to Remco Steenbergen and the Sandoz leadership team for the trust shown in him.
With his appointment as Global Head of GCCs and Country President, Sandoz India, Jha now takes on responsibility across both the company’s global capability-centre network and its India operations. His mandate spans GCC development across four international locations while leading Sandoz’s business in India.
