
Ram Gopalakrishnan has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Vadilal Industries’ international business, Vadilal Industries USA. He brings nearly two decades of experience in brand building, marketing, e-commerce and business leadership across major consumer companies in the United States.
Gopalakrishnan joins Vadilal after serving as Chief Growth Officer at Ethos Pet Brands from June to August 2026. Before that, he was the company’s Chief Digital and eCommerce Officer.
Earlier, he spent time at Nestlé Health Science, where he served as General Manager for direct-to-consumer and omnichannel health and nutrition brands from October 2023 to August 2025. In that role, he was responsible for a more than $400 million direct-to-consumer business, covering areas including brand growth, e-commerce, customer acquisition, retention and profitability.
His career also includes more than five years with The Clorox Company, where he held leadership positions across e-commerce, brand management and commercial strategy. He served as Marketing Director and Commercial Leader for Kingsford Fuel and Food from January 2021 to September 2023, after earlier leading e-commerce activities across Amazon, Walmart.com and direct-to-consumer businesses.
Before Clorox, Gopalakrishnan spent seven years at Procter & Gamble across marketing and commercial roles, including Growth Transformation Sales Director and Global and North America Brand Manager for Pampers. Earlier in his career, he worked at Unilever as Assistant Brand Manager for Vaseline Skin Care and began his professional journey in engineering roles at Micron Technology and Intel Corporation.
Gopalakrishnan holds an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business and a master’s degree in electrical engineering from Clemson University.
In his new role, Gopalakrishnan will lead Vadilal’s international business as the company continues expanding the brand beyond India. Vadilal has a growing international presence, particularly among the Indian diaspora, and Gopalakrishnan has highlighted the opportunity to build a global ice cream brand originating from India.
