AI creator tools startup ComfyUI has raised $30 million in a new funding round, achieving a valuation of $500 million as demand for advanced content creation tools continues to grow. The funding highlights rising investor interest in platforms that enable greater control over AI-generated media, particularly in professional creative workflows.
The company develops node-based tools that allow users to manage and customize AI-generated outputs across images, video, audio, and 3D content. Unlike traditional prompt-based systems, ComfyUI’s modular workflow design gives creators granular control over each step of the generation process, making it especially popular among designers, developers, and visual effects professionals.
The latest funding round was led by Craft Ventures, with participation from investors including Pace Capital, Chemistry, and TruArrow. With this round, ComfyUI’s total funding has reached approximately $47–48 million, reflecting strong backing for its open-source approach to AI development.
Originally launched as an open-source project, ComfyUI has rapidly scaled into a widely adopted platform with a growing global community. The company reports over 4 million users, more than 60,000 custom nodes created by contributors, and over 150,000 daily downloads, demonstrating strong traction among both individual creators and enterprise teams.
The fresh capital will be used to enhance product capabilities, improve platform stability, and expand infrastructure, including cloud-based tools and collaborative features. The company also plans to accelerate development of new modalities and integrations, ensuring compatibility with emerging AI models and workflows.
ComfyUI’s growth reflects a broader shift in the AI industry, where creators are moving beyond simple prompt-based tools toward more controllable, production-grade systems. As generative AI becomes increasingly central to industries such as advertising, film, and design, platforms that offer precision, scalability, and flexibility are expected to play a critical role in shaping the future of creative production.
