Global advanced technology services and solutions company Genpact has launched its AI Gigafactory, an accelerator designed to help enterprises transition from AI pilot projects to full-scale production. Initially introduced in Bengaluru, the initiative is now expanding globally, with additional centres planned across India. This move underscores Genpact’s commitment to driving AI adoption and delivering business value through intelligent automation.
The AI Gigafactory is structured to enhance the speed and efficiency of AI deployment by leveraging strategic collaborations with key ecosystem partners. One such collaboration is with San Francisco-based data and AI company Databricks. By integrating Databricks’ data intelligence platform with its finance data hub, Genpact aims to enable enterprises to extract deeper insights and optimize financial operations with AI-driven solutions.
A key component of the AI Gigafactory is the creation of a robust talent ecosystem. Genpact has set an ambitious target of developing a pool of 25,000 AI builders, equipping them with cutting-edge expertise through certification programs with technology partners. This workforce will be instrumental in scaling AI solutions across various industries, ensuring that businesses can navigate the complexities of AI adoption with skilled professionals at the helm.
The Gigafactory also provides access to a data marketplace and engineering libraries that feature pre-built AI and generative AI models. According to research conducted by Genpact and HFS Research, only 5% of organizations have achieved full AI maturity. Sanjeev Vohra, Chief Technology and Innovation Officer at Genpact, highlighted that client discussions over the past six months have revealed critical challenges, including data silos, insufficient AI-ready talent, and a lack of seamless integration between business and IT systems.
