Hyderabad: Global commercial real estate services firm JLL has inaugurated a new Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Hyderabad, expanding its operations in India as it looks to strengthen support for its global business functions through technology, analytics and shared services.
The 120,000 sq. ft. facility, established under JLL Business Services (JBS), was inaugurated by Telangana Minister for Information Technology, Electronics, Communications, Industries and Commerce D. Sridhar Babu. It is the company’s second JBS hub in India after Gurugram and is expected to grow to around 1,600 employees over the next two years.
The Hyderabad centre will support JLL’s global operations by integrating digital capabilities, artificial intelligence and standardized business processes across multiple functions. The company said the investment aligns with its long-term business transformation strategy and reflects its growing confidence in India’s talent ecosystem.
Speaking at the inauguration, Sridhar Babu said Hyderabad continues to strengthen its position as one of India’s leading destinations for Global Capability Centres. He noted that Telangana has attracted nearly 150 GCCs over the past 20 months, generating more than 150,000 high-skilled jobs, while the state’s focus remains on creating future-ready employment as technologies such as artificial intelligence and automation reshape industries.
JLL executives said the new centre will play a key role in supporting the company’s global operations by combining skilled talent with AI-enabled workflows and operational excellence. Hyderabad’s deep technology talent pool and mature business ecosystem were among the key factors behind the location choice, they added.
According to JLL, Hyderabad has emerged as one of India’s fastest-growing GCC markets. The company estimates that the city accounted for about 16% of the country’s GCC office leasing activity between 2024 and mid-2026, with GCC occupiers contributing around 42% of total office leasing in Hyderabad during the period.
The latest investment adds to Hyderabad’s growing roster of multinational companies establishing or expanding Global Capability Centres, underscoring the city’s increasing importance as a hub for technology, engineering, financial services and business operations.
