Mumbai : FreightFox, a full-stack Transportation Management System (TMS) and Control Tower platform helping enterprises manage freight operations, has raised ₹5 crore in a strategic funding round led by HighLeaf, with participation from Vijender Yadav, Founder of Accops Systems Private Limited, Puru Gupta, Founder and Operating Partner at Proteus Partners, and Aeravti Ventures.
India’s freight sector has quietly had its own UPI moment. ULIP, the government’s Unified Logistics Interface Platform, has brought procurement, execution, and emissions data from over 30 ministries into a single interface, crossing 250 crore-plus API transactions since launch. But more data hasn’t automatically led to better decisions for enterprises trying to use it.
Enterprises today are more data-aware than ever; location tracking alone has moved from a phone call towards live GPS feeds, but most still lack the systems to turn that data into action. And as they now reach for AI on top of that shaky foundation, the gap widens, not closes. That’s exactly the transition we help our customers make.
Freight teams today have access to more information than ever before, including GPS tracking, shipment updates, and transportation data. However, this information often remains scattered across multiple systems, making it difficult for businesses to detect inefficiencies, control costs, and respond quickly to breakdowns. As companies look to adopt AI, the quality, accessibility, and usability of their operational data will play a major role in controlling the outcome of these technologies.
Most freight platforms cover a single leg of that journey. FreightFox handles this challenge by consolidating the entire freight lifecycle into a single platform, from freight procurement and execution to shipment tracking, invoice settlement, and sustainability reporting. Its Control Tower provides enterprises with real-time visibility into inbound, outbound, and out-to-out movements, helping logistics departments make faster, better-informed decisions.
Commenting on the development, Nitish Rai, CEO & Co-Founder, FreightFox, said: “This funding demonstrates a broader transition in how the logistics industry is evolving. There is increasing recognition that freight operations need more structured systems in which data, execution, and decision-making processes are connected rather than managed in silos. As supply chains become more complex, capital is moving toward solutions that reduce manual dependencies, improve visibility, and enable teams to act on data in real time. The opportunity ahead resides in building systems that don’t just capture information, but make it usable for everyday operational decisions.”
The participation of experienced operators accelerates FreightFox’s growth. Vijender Yadav, who built and scaled the enterprise software company Accops Systems, brings deep experience in building technology businesses, while Proteus Partners, an operator-led investment firm, is working closely with FreightFox beyond the capital itself, with its team functioning as an extension of the company’s go-to-market and growth efforts.
FreightFox works with enterprises including AbInBev, Bridgestone, Coca-Cola, PepsiCo, Hero, CEAT, and Raychem RPG, and has tracked and managed 6 million+ trips end-to-end, enabled over US$2 billion in freight procurement, tracked 10 billion tonne-kilometers of freight movement, processed over US$1 billion in freight procure-to-pay transactions, and mapped over 200,000 tonnes of CO2e across customer logistics networks. Enterprise customers using the platform report 8–15% reductions in freight costs and 95% freight visibility.
The new capital goes toward two things: expanding FreightFox’s enterprise sales and partner network in India.
FreightFox’s next test isn’t whether the model works; the logos and the numbers already answer that. It’s whether the same discipline that brought order to freight moving by road can do the same for freight moving by sea, air, and across borders.
