
Mphasis has announced the appointment of Arunava Bhattacharjee as its new Senior Vice President and Global Head of Talent Fulfilment and Strategic Operations, underscoring the company’s focus on strengthening its global talent strategy and operational excellence. With over three decades of experience in human resources, talent management, and workforce transformation, Arunava brings deep expertise in building scalable talent ecosystems and driving organizational effectiveness across diverse industries.
Before joining Mphasis, Arunava was associated with Birlasoft as Senior Vice President and Global Head of Talent Supply Chain, where he successfully led initiatives aimed at optimizing workforce planning, strengthening the company’s global talent pipeline, and aligning human capital strategies with business growth. His work in this role was instrumental in enhancing operational efficiency and ensuring agile talent deployment to meet evolving client needs.
Prior to his tenure at Birlasoft, Arunava worked as a Strategic Advisor and Management Consultant, partnering with CXOs and business leaders to deliver strategic talent advisory, executive coaching, and CHRO-on-demand services. His advisory work focused on enabling leadership effectiveness, designing future-ready workforce models, and facilitating enterprise-wide transformation.
Arunava’s extensive corporate journey includes significant leadership positions at Ness Digital Engineering and Cognizant Technology Solutions, where he spent over 17 years in various global HR leadership roles. At Cognizant, he served as Assistant Vice President – HR and People Practice Head – APAC, where he played a critical role in shaping people strategies, enhancing employee engagement, and supporting business scalability across multiple geographies.
Earlier in his career, he contributed to several organizations including DSQ Software Limited, Duncans Software, Chokhani International Ltd, and India Steamship Limited, laying a strong foundation in personnel management, employee relations, and organizational development.
In his new role at Mphasis, Arunava will focus on aligning workforce capabilities with the company’s strategic business goals, enhancing global delivery effectiveness, and building a future-ready talent model.
