Megawaty Khie has taken on a new role as Vice President & Managing Director, ASEAN & Korea at Kyndryl. Marking her latest leadership position in the enterprise technology sector.
In her new role, Khie will lead Kyndryl’s business across the ASEAN and Korea region. According to industry reporting, her responsibilities will include strengthening customer relationships and helping organisations modernise their technology environments as businesses increasingly adopt cloud, AI and other emerging technologies.
Khie succeeds Andrew Lim in the regional leadership position. Lim has moved into another senior leadership role at Kyndryl covering the broader Asia-Pacific region.
Khie brings more than 25 years of experience across the technology industry. Before joining Kyndryl, she served as Regional Managing Director for Southeast Asia at Avanade. She previously held a leadership position at Google Cloud as Director for Channels and Strategic Partnerships for Southeast Asia and held other leadership roles with the company.
Her earlier career includes senior roles at several global technology companies. She has worked with IBM, SAP, HP, Dell and Microsoft across leadership positions covering enterprise technology, sales, partnerships and business development. An IBM executive biography from her earlier tenure at the company records her experience across the technology sector in Asia Pacific and her previous leadership positions at SAP, HP, Dell and Microsoft.
Khie’s experience also includes leading technology businesses in Southeast Asia. At IBM Indonesia, she served as President Director, overseeing areas including sales and distribution, procurement, global delivery and support functions. Before IBM, she was Vice President, Success Factors for SAP Southeast Asia and previously served as Vice President and Managing Director for SAP Indonesia.
Commenting on her move to Kyndryl, Khie said enterprises across ASEAN and Korea are moving quickly to modernise their mission-critical IT systems for the AI era. She added that Kyndryl is working with its teams and partner ecosystem to create new value for customers and build the technology foundations needed to support their goals.
The regional appointment comes as Kyndryl continues to expand its focus on enterprise technology modernisation, AI, cloud, cybersecurity and managed technology services. Kyndryl says it serves thousands of customers across more than 60 countries and reported more than $15 billion in fiscal 2026 revenue for the year ended March 31, 2026.
Kyndryl has also been expanding its AI and modernisation capabilities across Asia. In India, the company announced a planned $2.25 billion investment over three years in August 2025, including the establishment of an AI Innovation Lab in Bengaluru and initiatives focused on technology talent and AI capabilities.
With Khie taking charge of ASEAN and Korea, Kyndryl’s regional business will now be led by an executive with extensive experience across enterprise technology, cloud, partnerships and regional business operations. Her appointment adds another layer of leadership as organisations across the region continue to modernise mission-critical technology infrastructure and prepare their systems and operations for AI adoption.
