Nestlé Selects Hyderabad for New Global Capability Centre, Strengthening City’s GCC Ecosystem

Nestlé has chosen Hyderabad as the location for its upcoming Global Capability Centre (GCC), further reinforcing the city’s position as one of India’s leading destinations for multinational corporate operations. The facility is expected to become operational in the coming months and is anticipated to contribute significantly to the region’s growing business and technology landscape.

The decision highlights Hyderabad’s increasing appeal among global companies seeking to establish strategic operational hubs in India. Over the past several years, the city has emerged as a preferred destination for multinational corporations across sectors, supported by its expanding talent pool, infrastructure development, and business-friendly environment.

The new GCC is expected to strengthen Hyderabad’s fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) and food processing ecosystem while creating employment opportunities and supporting innovation-driven growth. In addition to generating jobs, the facility is likely to play a role in enhancing operational efficiency, digital transformation initiatives, and supply chain capabilities associated with the company’s global business operations.

The announcement comes at a time when Hyderabad continues to witness strong momentum in the GCC sector. Companies from technology, financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, and consumer goods industries have increasingly selected the city as a base for global operations, research, analytics, and business support functions.

Hyderabad is now approaching the milestone of 450 Global Capability Centres, underscoring its growing importance within India’s corporate ecosystem. The city’s expanding GCC footprint reflects sustained investment from international companies seeking access to skilled professionals and scalable operational capabilities.

According to the nasscom-Zinnov GCC Landscape Report 2026, Hyderabad has also emerged as a preferred destination for financial services organizations establishing GCCs in India. The report noted that half of all leading financial services companies that launched GCC operations in the country during 2025 selected Hyderabad as their location of choice.

The latest investment further strengthens Hyderabad’s reputation as a strategic hub for multinational corporations looking to support global operations from India. As more companies establish capability centres in the city, the local economy is expected to benefit through job creation, knowledge transfer, innovation, and ecosystem development.

Nestlé’s decision reflects the growing confidence of global enterprises in Hyderabad’s ability to support large-scale business operations and future expansion plans. The development is expected to contribute to the city’s continued rise as a major centre for global business services and corporate innovation.
