
DB Digital, part of the Dainik Bhaskar Group, has appointed Piyush Thakur as Chief Revenue Officer, as the company looks to scale its advertising and monetisation capabilities across digital platforms.
In this role, he will lead revenue strategy, advertising monetisation, and growth initiatives across the company’s web and app ecosystem. He will report to Pathik Shah and will be responsible for strengthening the platform’s revenue engine as it expands its digital footprint.
Thakur brings over 20 years of experience in digital sales and monetisation. He joins from Inshorts, where he spent nearly a decade as part of the founding leadership team and most recently served as Chief Revenue Officer. During his tenure, he played a key role in building a strong advertising business, working with brands such as Airtel, Maruti Suzuki, Coca-Cola, Amazon Prime, Samsung, and Apple.
Earlier in his career, he held leadership roles at ESPN, Times Internet, Brandmovers, Komli Media, Minglebox.com, and Info Edge India Ltd, building strong expertise in digital monetisation, partnerships, and business development.
