Tata Steel Ltd announces Dinesh Kumar Shrimali as new CISO and DPO

Dinesh Kumar Shrimali has assumed the position of Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and Data Protection Officer (DPO) at Tata Steel Ltd. With a wealth of leadership experience exceeding two decades in cybersecurity on a global scale, Dinesh transitions to Tata Steel following notable tenures at Welspun and UPL Ltd.

Expressing his excitement upon joining Tata Steel, Dinesh remarked, “I am thrilled to become a part of Tata Steel, a prominent entity in the steel manufacturing domain, and to reconnect with the Tata group. I aim to leverage my past experiences to bolster our security measures at Tata Steel.

In his new capacity, Dinesh will be responsible for overseeing the development and execution of information security strategies at Tata Steel. His duties will encompass the establishment of robust security protocols, comprehensive risk assessments, and the formulation of effective incident response strategies to address cybersecurity threats. Additionally, he will ensure compliance with data protection laws and regulations, with a specific emphasis on the management and processing of personal data.
