Valvoline Inc. has appointed Seham Husain as Chief Strategy and AI Transformation Officer and a member of its Senior Leadership Team, bringing enterprise strategy, customer insights, pricing and AI enablement within her remit.
Husain will work with the company’s technology team to guide the responsible adoption of artificial intelligence across the business. The appointment connects AI implementation with commercial priorities, placing customer understanding and pricing alongside corporate strategy within the role. Valvoline’s executive management page confirms her leadership responsibilities.
She brings more than two decades of experience spanning strategy, business transformation, innovation and growth across consumer, retail and industrial organisations. Before joining Valvoline, Husain served as Managing Director at Metis Advisors, where she advised chief executives and boards on enterprise strategy, mergers and acquisitions, business transformation and portfolio value creation.
Previously, she was Senior Vice President–Global Strategic Projects at building materials company CRH, contributing to transformation programmes, commercial performance and growth initiatives involving technology. Earlier, at Walmart, she served as Vice President–Pricing, overseeing enterprise pricing strategy and technology transformation.
That background combines advisory experience with operating responsibilities in large businesses. Her work in pricing and commercial transformation is particularly relevant to a position that brings AI enablement together with decisions concerning customers, business performance and future growth.
Valvoline Inc. operates in preventive automotive maintenance, serving consumers and fleet customers through company-operated and franchised service centres across the United States and Canada. Its services include oil changes and other vehicle maintenance offerings, providing the operating context for Husain’s strategy and transformation responsibilities.
The structure of her role gives AI a direct connection to business planning. With enterprise strategy, customer insights and pricing under one leader, the remit provides a framework for assessing emerging capabilities against customer needs and commercial objectives, in collaboration with the technology function.
Husain holds an MPhil in Innovation, Strategy and Organisation from the University of Cambridge and an MBA from the Institute of Business Administration. Her appointment adds experience in corporate strategy, retail pricing and transformation to Valvoline’s senior leadership.
