Aditya Kumar has joined InMobi Group as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), taking on a global information and cybersecurity leadership mandate at the technology company.
Kumar announced his new role on LinkedIn, saying he will work with InMobi’s leadership team and employees across the organisation to strengthen cyber resilience, digital trust, security governance and risk management across its global operations.
In his announcement, Kumar said, “I believe security leadership is not just about protecting technology and data; it is about enabling innovation, building trust, and giving the business the confidence to move forward securely.”
Kumar brings more than 16 years of experience in information security, cyber risk management, digital forensics, fraud prevention and regulatory compliance. Publicly available company records from his previous role at Navi identify him as a Chief Information Security Officer and note his experience across information security and related functions.
Before joining InMobi, Kumar was associated with Navi, where he served as Chief Information Security Officer. His earlier career included roles at First American (India), BT, IBM, TCS, Tech Mahindra and Mphasis. His experience across these organisations included security frameworks, risk mitigation, security operations, incident response, network security, risk assessment and infrastructure protection.
Kumar holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Visvesvaraya Technological University and a Master of Science in Cyber Security Operations and Leadership from the University of San Diego. His professional certifications include Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH).
At Navi, his responsibilities covered information security and cyber-risk areas. The company’s publicly available disclosures describe his experience in threat management, cyber fraud, forensics and compliance, alongside his work on security frameworks and risk mitigation.
Kumar’s move to InMobi comes as the company continues to operate across mobile advertising and consumer internet businesses. InMobi Group’s businesses include InMobi Advertising and Glance, its consumer technology platform.
In his new position, Kumar said his focus will include strengthening cyber resilience, digital trust, security governance and risk management across InMobi’s global operations. He also highlighted the role of security leadership in supporting innovation and enabling businesses to adopt technology securely.
The appointment brings Kumar’s experience across cybersecurity operations, governance, risk and compliance into a global security leadership role at InMobi Group. His mandate will cover information and cybersecurity leadership as the company continues to operate its technology businesses across international markets.
