Amit Saxena has joined Barco as Vice President, Global Head of IT, Cybersecurity & AI Platforms. He announced the appointment on LinkedIn, marking a new phase in his career after more than two decades of experience in technology, infrastructure and digital transformation.
In his new role, Saxena will focus on strengthening Barco’s global digital foundations, advancing cybersecurity capabilities and scaling AI platforms across the organisation. He will also work on aligning technology capabilities with the company’s broader business objectives.
Saxena brings more than 28 years of experience in technology leadership, with his career spanning IT strategy, cloud, artificial intelligence, digital transformation, infrastructure and global capability centres. His LinkedIn profile also identifies experience in P&L management and global technology leadership.
Before joining Barco, Saxena held senior technology leadership responsibilities across organisations, including roles focused on global IT, digital transformation and GCC operations. He has also been involved in building and scaling technology organisations and driving enterprise-wide transformation programmes.
His new mandate at Barco brings together three closely connected areas: IT, cybersecurity and AI platforms. The role will cover the technology infrastructure supporting the organisation, cybersecurity and resilience, as well as the development and scaling of AI capabilities.
Barco is a Belgium-headquartered technology company that develops visualisation and collaboration solutions for sectors including enterprise, healthcare, entertainment and defence and security. Its portfolio includes visualisation systems, projection technology, display solutions and collaboration technologies. The company operates globally and has a significant presence in India.
Saxena said his focus at Barco will be on making technology a strategic enabler for the business while strengthening the company’s digital foundations, cybersecurity and AI capabilities.
His appointment comes as enterprises continue to bring AI, cloud infrastructure and cybersecurity into broader technology transformation programmes. Saxena’s experience across these areas will form part of his responsibilities as he takes on the global IT leadership mandate at Barco.
