Central Depository Services (India) Limited (CDSL) has appointed Kinjal Shah as its Chief Technology Officer (CTO). The company announced his appointment, welcoming Shah as it strengthens its technology leadership for the next phase of India’s securities market.
Shah joins CDSL from YES Securities, where he served as Chief Technology Officer. He brings extensive experience across technology, financial services and capital markets, with previous roles at organisations including Larsen & Toubro, JPMorgan, the New York Stock Exchange, NSE India and Edelweiss.
His career has covered software engineering, technology management, enterprise technology and financial-market infrastructure. His experience includes working with large-scale technology environments and leading technology functions within the financial services sector.
Shah holds a bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering from the University of Mumbai and a master’s degree in Computer Science from Sam Houston State University in the United States.
At CDSL, Shah will lead the company’s technology function as it continues to operate and expand the digital infrastructure supporting India’s securities market. CDSL provides depository services that enable investors to hold securities in dematerialised form and supports participants across the capital-market ecosystem.
The appointment adds technology leadership experience from across financial markets and enterprise technology to CDSL’s senior management team. Shah’s previous exposure to securities, exchange and financial-services technology will form part of his new mandate at the depository.
