Aperam Opens Global Capability Center in Hyderabad to Accelerate Digital Transformation

Aperam Global Services India has officially opened its Global Capability Center in Hyderabad, establishing a new technology and business-transformation hub to support the company’s operations worldwide.

The centre will bring together talent, technology and cross-functional collaboration to develop digital solutions for Aperam’s global businesses. The company introduced the facility through its official LinkedIn page, describing it as a strategic capability centre designed to create business impact through transformation and operational excellence.

CA Manoj Kumar Agarwal, Group Chief Information Officer and Artificial Intelligence Lead at Aperam, said the Hyderabad expansion would strengthen the company’s technology capabilities and support its broader digital-transformation programme.

“Scaling our digital backbone is key to driving operational excellence. Expanding into Hyderabad allows us to tap into incredible local talent to accelerate our digital transformation journey,” Agarwal said.

He added that teams operating from the centre “will be directly building the digital solutions which will create value for Aperam globally.”

According to the company, the Hyderabad GCC will build capabilities across digital transformation, data analytics, business transformation, process excellence, engineering and operations, shared services and continuous improvement. These functions are expected to help Aperam modernise business processes, improve operational efficiency and develop technology platforms for use across its international operations.

The centre is positioned as more than a conventional support-services operation. Aperam said it intends to create an environment where employees can collaborate with teams worldwide, develop locally driven innovations and take ownership of transformation initiatives that deliver measurable global business outcomes.

The launch also expands Hyderabad’s role in the global capability-centre ecosystem. International companies are increasingly using their Indian centres to undertake technology engineering, data analytics, artificial intelligence, product development and enterprise transformation rather than limiting them to transactional support activities. The city offers access to professionals across software engineering, cloud computing, analytics, AI and business-process transformation.

Aperam is a global producer of stainless, electrical and specialty steel, alloys, and recycling and renewable-material solutions. Formed following its separation from ArcelorMittal in 2011, the company serves customers in more than 40 countries. Its business is organised across Stainless & Electrical Steel, Services & Solutions, Alloys & Specialties, and Recycling & Renewables, with industrial operations spanning Europe, Brazil, India, China and the United States.
