Consumer electronics brand boAt Lifestyle has appointed Saikat Mukhopadhyay as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Mukhopadhyay announced the move through a LinkedIn post, stating that he has started a new position as CFO at boAt Lifestyle.
According to boAt’s official leadership information, Mukhopadhyay joined the company’s leadership team as CFO effective September 1, 2026. He brings more than 30 years of experience across finance, governance, business transformation and financial leadership roles spanning established enterprises and fast-growing companies.
Mukhopadhyay joins boAt after serving as Group Chief Financial Officer at WheelsEye, a logistics technology company. He held the WheelsEye role from March 2024 to August 2026, where his responsibilities included financial management, governance and capital strategy.
Before WheelsEye, Mukhopadhyay was associated with BirlaNu, where he served as Chief Financial Officer from June 2022 to October 2023. He had earlier spent more than four years with Somany Ceramics, serving as CFO from January 2018 to June 2022.
His earlier career includes senior finance positions across the industrial, infrastructure and energy sectors. He served as Group Financial Controller at CNH Industrial from February 2016 to January 2018 and as Chief Financial Officer – Construction Equipment at Escorts from September 2012 to February 2016. Before that, he was associated with Cairn Oil and Gas, where he worked as Head of Finance covering joint ventures, business finance and procurement and supply chain management.
Mukhopadhyay also spent more than a decade with Tata Steel, where he held multiple positions between 1996 and 2007, progressing from Senior Officer to General Manager. His career has therefore covered finance leadership across manufacturing, energy, infrastructure, consumer-facing businesses and technology-led startups.
He is a Chartered Accountant and Cost Accountant and holds an MBA from XLRI Jamshedpur, according to boAt’s leadership profile. The company says his experience includes IPO readiness, large-scale mergers and acquisitions, financial governance and building finance capabilities for scaling businesses.
At boAt, Mukhopadhyay joins a senior leadership team that includes Gaurav Nayyar as Chief Executive Officer, Aman Gupta as Whole Time Director and Chief Marketing Officer, and Rakesh Thakur as Group Chief Financial Officer. boAt’s official leadership page lists Mukhopadhyay as CFO effective September 1, 2026.
His appointment comes as boAt continues to operate as a major consumer electronics company, with its leadership structure spanning finance, operations, product, technology, marketing and supply-chain functions. Mukhopadhyay’s experience across financial strategy, governance and scaling businesses adds a senior finance leadership profile to the company’s management team.
With his move to boAt, Mukhopadhyay brings experience from both established companies and high-growth businesses to the CFO role. His immediate mandate will include overseeing the company’s finance function while supporting financial governance and the broader business as boAt continues to scale.
