
Dr. Amit Khanna has joined Jindal (India) Limited as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), bringing more than 26 years of experience in human resources leadership across organizational transformation, talent management, leadership development, employee engagement, HR digitalization and organizational effectiveness.
In his new role at Jindal (India) Limited, Khanna will lead the HR and Administration function and oversee the people agenda across the company’s manufacturing operations. He will also work closely with the leadership team to strengthen organizational capability and support the development of a high-performance culture.
Before joining Jindal (India) Limited, Khanna spent 14 years with Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL), where he most recently served as AVP & Head HR. During his tenure with the organization, he held several leadership positions, including GM & Head HR and Head – Talent Management and HR Operations.
His experience at BIAL has included responsibilities across key areas of human resources and people management, contributing to organizational effectiveness and talent-related initiatives. His long tenure with the organization adds to his experience in managing HR functions within a large and operationally complex business environment.
Khanna’s professional career also includes HR leadership experience across several prominent organizations. He has previously worked with Reliance Communications, Bharti Airtel, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and NTPC Limited. Across these organizations, his experience has covered areas including people strategy, talent management, employee engagement, organizational transformation and HR technology.
At Jindal (India) Limited, his mandate will involve managing the HR and Administration function while supporting the company’s broader people priorities. His responsibilities will include working with leadership to strengthen organizational capabilities and further build a high-performance culture across the organization.
Khanna’s appointment comes with more than two decades of HR leadership experience spanning multiple organizations and business environments. His background across talent, organizational effectiveness, HR digitalization and transformation will form part of his experience as he takes on the CHRO role at Jindal (India) Limited.
With his new position, Dr. Amit Khanna will be responsible for driving the company’s HR and people agenda while partnering with leadership across its manufacturing operations. His focus will include strengthening organizational capability and supporting a performance-oriented workplace culture.
