Vietnam-based Earth Venture Capital has participated in a $139 million funding round for U.S.-based startup Sygaldry Technologies, which is building next-generation quantum-accelerated AI infrastructure.
The financing includes a $34 million seed round led by Initialized Capital and a $105 million Series A round led by Breakthrough Energy Ventures, with additional backing from investors such as Y Combinator and IQT.
Sygaldry is developing quantum-accelerated servers designed to integrate quantum computing components with existing GPU-based infrastructure used for AI training and inference. The company’s approach focuses on combining multiple qubit types within a single system to enhance computational performance while reducing energy consumption.
The technology aims to address one of the biggest challenges in scaling artificial intelligence—rising energy costs and infrastructure limitations—by delivering higher compute efficiency per watt and lowering the cost of running large AI models.
Earth Venture Capital’s participation aligns with its broader investment thesis of supporting deep-tech solutions that tackle energy efficiency and decarbonization challenges, particularly in emerging Asian markets.
