Kanchan Belavadi Joins Stripe as Head of Marketing for India

Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, Financial infrastructure platform Stripe has appointed Kanchan Belavadi as Head of Marketing for India. Belavadi confirmed the appointment through a professional update, marking her move to Stripe after concluding her tenure with cloud-based data platform company Snowflake.

In the new leadership role, Belavadi will oversee Stripe’s marketing activities in India, supporting the company’s engagement with businesses operating across the country’s rapidly evolving digital economy. Her role is expected to encompass market development, enterprise engagement, brand positioning and go-to-market programmes aligned with Stripe’s payments and financial infrastructure portfolio.

Belavadi brings approximately 18 years of experience in business-to-business technology marketing. She joins Stripe from Snowflake, where she served as Head of Enterprise Marketing for India. In that position, she was involved in enterprise-focused marketing programmes, customer and partner engagement, industry events, account-based initiatives and campaigns supporting the adoption of Snowflake’s cloud data platform among Indian organisations.

During her Snowflake tenure, Belavadi worked closely with enterprise sales, technology, partner and field teams to strengthen the company’s presence across major Indian business centres. Her work included supporting programmes such as Data Cloud World Tour, Data for Breakfast and Snowflake Build, which brought together technology leaders, customers, developers and ecosystem partners. She was also recognised internally as Snowflake’s Marketer of the Year for India in 2024 and Marketer of the Year for Asia-Pacific and Japan in 2025.

Her appointment comes as Stripe continues to develop its business and regulatory infrastructure in India. The company currently provides its services in the country on an invite-only basis, supporting a limited number of businesses, with a particular focus on companies pursuing international expansion. Stripe has said it remains committed to India and is working to build the infrastructure required to serve more users.

Founded in 2010 by Patrick and John Collison, Stripe provides payments and financial infrastructure for internet businesses. Its platform supports online and in-person payments, billing, fraud prevention, revenue management and embedded financial services. In India, Stripe enables eligible businesses to accept domestic payments and international transactions in more than 135 currencies, subject to applicable onboarding and regulatory requirements.
