Karnataka Bank ropes in Venkat Krishnan V as CIO

Karnataka Bank, a private sector lender, has enlisted Venkat Krishnan V as its new Chief Information Officer. With 24 years of experience spanning across the banking, finance, and insurance sectors, Venkat Krishnan V previously held the position of Chief Technology Officer at IndusInd Bank. Throughout his career, he has contributed his expertise to renowned institutions such as ICICI Bank, HSBC, Dhanlaxmi Bank, Edelweiss Tokio Life Insurance, Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait, Ujjivan Small Finance Bank, Utkarsh Small Finance Bank, and Yes Bank.

The bank disclosed this appointment through an exchange filing, stating, “In compliance with Regulation 30 and other relevant provisions of SEBI (LODR) Regulations, 2015, we hereby announce the appointment of Mr. Venkat Krishnan V as the Chief Information Officer, effective January 22, 2024. Further details regarding his appointment are outlined in Annexure, as per SEBI/HO/CFD/PoD2/CIR/P/2023/120 dated July 11, 2023.”

Venkat Krishnan V possesses hands-on experience in executing intricate migration and change management projects within the technological infrastructure of banks, as well as property and casualty (P&C) and life insurance organizations, from inception to completion.
