Rudraksha Nadkarni has joined The Goa Urban Co-operative Bank Ltd as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). Marking the beginning of his new role with the Goa-based cooperative bank.
As CISO, Nadkarni will be responsible for the bank’s information-security function, covering areas associated with protecting its technology environment, information assets and digital banking infrastructure.
The appointment comes as cybersecurity and information security remain important areas for banks operating increasingly digital services. The Goa Urban Co-operative Bank provides services including core banking, RTGS/NEFT, IMPS/UPI, Aadhaar-linked payments and QR-based payments through its banking infrastructure.
The bank’s existing management structure includes dedicated technology and information-technology functions, reflecting the role of technology in its banking operations.
Nadkarni’s appointment adds a dedicated information-security leadership role to the organisation as it continues to operate across digital and technology-enabled banking services.
The Goa Urban Co-operative Bank Limited is one of Goa’s established cooperative banks and provides retail banking, financial and lending services to customers across the state. The bank has also maintained technology-enabled services including core banking, electronic fund transfers and digital payment facilities.
