Mumbai, Mahindra Group has appointed Shveta Arya as Group Chief Strategy Officer, effective September 15, 2026. In her new role, Arya will lead the Group Strategy Office and will also join the Group Executive Board.
As Group Chief Strategy Officer, Arya will work across Mahindra Group’s diverse portfolio of businesses to identify new growth opportunities, unlock value and strengthen the Group’s long-term strategic positioning. Her mandate will include supporting enterprise-wide strategic priorities and driving initiatives aimed at creating sustainable competitive advantage across the organisation.
Arya most recently served as Managing Director of Cummins India, where she held responsibility for the company’s operations and strategic priorities in India. Her leadership experience spans business strategy, mergers and acquisitions, growth initiatives and organisational leadership.
Over the course of her career, Arya has held senior roles across Thomas Cook India Limited, Kearney and Infosys. Her professional experience covers multiple sectors, including automotive, travel, financial services and telecommunications, providing her with broad exposure to business transformation and growth strategy.
The appointment strengthens Mahindra Group’s senior leadership as the conglomerate continues to pursue growth opportunities across its businesses and sharpen its long-term strategic agenda.
